Volunteer Experience South Africa
Do you have a desire to do more than just travel? Do you want to make a difference? The Volunteer Experience South Africa Program will fulfill your hunger, by giving you the chance to help some of the most disadvantaged people in the world.
Positions are unpaid, but you will gain valuable skills, great friends from across the world, useful experience for your CV and the knowledge that you made a difference. The volunteer programs run from between 2 and 8 weeks, with the option to extend weekly or tag more than one volunteer program onto another. Your accommodation is provided and we will help you find low cost flight options.
Working in partnership with the You2Africa, our projects vary, but the basic premise is to assist communities historically disadvantaged by Apartheid, or where poverty and its consequent social ills, affect the communities daily. All the projects are based in and around Cape Town and have either semi-monthly or monthly arrival dates.
The programs include Hope Journey, Youth Empowerment, Taking the Street Out of the Child, Enabling Lives at Chesire Homes, Healing through Horses, Haven for the "Otherwise Abled”, Heart for Orphans, Animal Charity Serving Poorest Communities, Penguin Rescue and others.
