Work and Play Ireland
Work and travel abroad in Ireland! The Emerald Isle is the home of U2, Westlife and plenty of good craic! Spend a year working abroad in Ireland, experience the warmth and hospitality of this country and find out what it is like to drink a real Guinness in an authentic Irish pub. There's only one thing better than a good pint, and that's another!
Ireland is steeped in history and this program will give you the opportunity to visit some of the famous landmarks that have shaped modern Ireland. Dublin has been the setting of many of these significant events and a stroll round this vibrant city will take you back in time; visit the GPO on O'Connell St, the setting of the Easter Rising, see controversial “The Millennium Spire”, close to where Nelson's Column used to stand, find the burial place of revolutionary Michael Collins and the statue of the revered James Joyce. Outside of Dublin you will have the opportunity to visit the beautiful coastal towns, ancient churches and castles and also meet like-minded travelers as well as local characters who will make you feel like Ireland is a home away from home, to be sure!
CCUSA in conjunction with OWH will make sure that you have the best start to your Irish Adventure and will organize everything you need for a successful Working Holiday, from your visa before you leave Australia to help with finding a job once you arrive. Typically, Dublin is the easiest place to find work in Ireland, and we can hook you up with contacts in whatever field you want to work in; so whatever your experience this program is for you!
The Working Holiday Program provides opportunities for people aged between 18 and 30 to holiday in Ireland and supplement their travel funds through incidental employment. The visa allows a stay of up to 12 months from the date of first entry into Ireland. You are allowed to do work of a temporary or casual nature but may not work for any one employer for more than 3 months.
